In the know!

myron | April 18, 2011

We just finished “Fashion Ball” and it was so much fun and a tremendous success, thanks to so many people. If you were here “wasn’t it fun?” if you were not here “so sorry you missed out”. Minneapolis has not been so fashion forward since the Golden (Purple) days of the 90′s.
So now, here are [...]

April

myron | March 25, 2011

Well, my birthday came with a giant snow fall. The neverending winters tale! I do feel Spring in the air even when I am shoveling snow. In dance class, we are feeling a bit of humidity. So much going on right now….Fashion Ball is in full force. Heading into rehearsals and planning the party! Fun, [...]

Well, there is NEVER snow on the ground for my birthday on the 23rd. It seems 2011 is going to be different! We’ll see…never know…surprises and miracles happen everyday.
Goldilocks and Little Red Riding Hood was a BLAST! Young audiences really make me happy and the post show discussions gave me tremendous hope for the future [...]

over the river and through the woods…

myron | February 8, 2011

My goodness! It’s February! January was so cold that my fingers couldn’t type to add a blog. Now, it’s still freezing but I learned to type with mittens on so please excuse any typos.
We open Goldilocks and Little Red Riding Hood in two days. I have had so much fun playing with these stories. Charming and [...]

myron | December 28, 2010

Holidays are over. New Year on the way. Christmas show closed. Tearing down the set and putting away costumes, wigs and props. Vacuuming up the glitter, lost eyelashes, bobby pins and assorted odd metal things that clog up the vacuum. What a world! Makes me wonder……
Why do artists throw themselves so completely into what they do [...]

Happy Holidays from all of us at Ballet of the Dolls to all of you. Thank you for all the support this past year. May there be many many more evenings spent together in the theatre. Peace, joy and love!  XO, Myron

Let it snow…let it snow!

myron | December 13, 2010

Cancelled our first show due to Mother Nature in 25 years last Saturday night. When I mentioned that lastnight in the dressing room one of the dancers quickly reminded me that we have cancelled before due to Mr. Minnesota Leather Contest (one of the dancers was the winning contestant), several times in the early years we [...]

Opened the show! Whew!!!

myron | December 9, 2010

I just looked at my last post and even I got nervous…if anyone is reading my posts you must have been wondering if the show made it to opening night. Yes, indeed…it did.  You would think that after 50 years in the theatre i would know by now that it will come together somehow. In [...]

4 days left..but who is counting?

myron | November 30, 2010

We have 4 days left before opening night! As of today, it looks like we won’t even step on to the stage until tomorrow if all goes as planned.  Doug is building the biggest and most elaborate set we have ever had. He has been going on 3 hours of sleep a night and he [...]
